The Maccabees – Boom Boom Pow

This song of the week is a last minute change.  I saw this video a few months ago, however while on youtube at the weekend it popped up again and thought it had to be record of the week – The Maccabees covering Boom Boom Pow.  During the radio broadcast of the performance, when asked why they chose this song, Orlando Week’s reply was simple, “a challenge.”

The video is an awesome watch as you see the band cracking up at ingenious song-writing such as “I’m so 3008, you’re so 2000 and late…” – Groundbreaking work there Fergie and co.

Boom Boom Pow is one of those tracks I have no idea why it was recorded other than for humorous covers such as this one.
