Gabrielle Aplin – Reverse

I have not been to a gig in a while now (leaving the desert with The Roots on Saturday night, yessir!)… and next week I’m going to see Gabrielle Aplin.

This young lady I stumbled across while following links a few weekends ago.  This song stopped me in my tracks – it’s simply beautiful.

2010 seems like the year for “underground folk” – there are some really good artists at the moment getting many spins on youtube, however not breaking the mainstream yet.  They’re just bubblin’ under like the grime artists were a few years back.

If Ms. Aplin, Ms. Chapman (sorry Ms. Leddra), and Mr. Sheeran are anything to go by the UK should be in for some real treats in 2011.
