Yes, you read that correctly. The Roots and John Legend will be passing through Hammersmith Apollo on November 27th in support of their album, Wake Up! (which finally gets a UK release on October 18th).
Words cannot describe how off the chain the concert should be. The Roots always put on incredible shows and John Legend, from what I hear, is also a stellar live performer. The tickets go on sale Friday 15th October (if I find pre-sale I will post the link up). It’s looking like tickets will be about £35. Steep for anyone else, however a bargain for these guys, the concert has that much potential.
Expect super funky soul from the Wake Up! album, which sees them reinterpreting and covering classic soul records. I also expect both artists to dip in to their own unrivaled back catalog of songs too.
