Oliver Daysoul – Just A Song

One of the things I love about Neo Soul is that while R&B follows one fad after another and loses its way… Neo Soul keeps serving up consistantly great music, with new gems being uncovered all the time.

Oliver Daysoul has definitely served up one of these gems with Just A Song, from his free (yes, free) for download EP Mr. Saint Louis.  His singing style is similar to that of Bilal; distinct in its haziness.  Set this alongside a neo-retro beat and you have a record I will be playing for weeks on end.

I hope to hear a lot more music from this guy soon.
