Hip-hop this good should be part of the National Curriculum.  J-Live dropped his EP, Undivided Attention, this week and this is the pick of the bunch.

Its classic east coast hip-hop; looping strings, vocal loops creating the soundscape, scratching in the back.  This is the kind of hip-hop I am fanatical about.  The kind of hip-hop I hope I will one day turn on Kiss FM in the morning to hear.  You can argue the genre has moved beyond this classic sound; that the “yoof” desire a different type of hyper-sexualised, androginous hip-hop.

Still give records as good as this a chance and see what happens.  I love it and hope it gets the recognition it deserves
