This may just be bargain of the year. Maverick Sabre playing the Jazz Cafe on June 9th for £8! Yes, less than a tenner to see probably the most exciting new artist in England right now (OK, i admit, after fees etc. it does come to a little more than a tenner!).
I love Maverick’s style which mixes reggae style vocals with dubstep and hip-hop. His lyrics are a breath of fresh air, actually commentating on hard-hitting issues as opposed to the usual diatribe of girls and bling we are accustomed to from UK acts. This is very British music – in all its hard-hitting glory.
Having toured with Plan B, the show should be very refined… and if there is any justice in the music industry, a rare opportunity to see him play a small intimate venue before he blows up!
Tickets are available from HMV Tickets or Ticketmaster via the Jazz Cafe website (http://venues.meanfiddler.com/jazz-cafe/full-listings/featured-gigs/3934)
Really, really, really, looking forward to this one.
Rob
Ps. Did I say I was looking forward to this one?
