Every now and again hip-hop can be captivating.  Every now and again hip-hop can tell a story as vivid as many movie or novel, holding your attention through every finalised stanza.  This harrowing song reminds me of the way Tupac would tell a story.  Painting a picture of life in America’s poor communities that shocks in it’s plainness.

Self-Scientific have been dropping strong concious hip-hop for more than a minute.  It’s about time more got to hear this supremely talented duo (rapper Chance Infinite and producer DJ Khalil), as music this good will never be played on the radio (well not before 1am anyway!)
