Can Kylie sell out Hammersmith Apollo in one week? Probably. Well that’s her plan as she has sprung a one-show special on Tuesday April 3rd at the London venue.
For her only show in London on the ‘Anti-Tour’ she will apparently be playing those B-Sides and Rarities you thought you’d never hear her play live (or so says the e-mail blurb). If she does play songs like Chocolate, and All I See, it should be a nice show for the fans.
And Hammersmith Apollo is a lot smaller than the venues she usually plays so it’s a good choice. It is by no means intimate though, so don’t go expecting to see all her facial expressions (if you’ve never been there before).
Tickets are an astronomical £79 (+usual fees!). Personally, I think that is way, way, way, way, way, way, way, way too high! I could understand the price (it still wouldn’t be right mind you but I’d understand) if it The Jazz Cafe or Dingwalls or my living room… Hammersmith Apollo though? Are you crazy. I shudder to think how much they will cost on the touting websites who will no doubt have hundreds for sale by 8:59am tomorrow!
If you are a recent lottery winner and want to go, tickets go on sale tomorrow (26th March) at 9am via Ticketmaster. Everyone else, lets hope she releases a tour DVD or summat!
