I’ve lost count of the amount of times MRCH have passed through the Bay Area only for me to miss them; being out of town, being ill, finding out after the fact. You name it something always comes up .
They were back in San Francisco on Wednesday and the plan was simple; go to a Meet-Up (which finishes early) and then jump in a Lyft over to Neck of the Woods. Simple.
Clearly I never factored in great conversations, free alcohol to stimulate even more great talking, at times torrential rain, and one of the most fun, thought provoking, inspiring and at the same time gut-wrenching Lyft rides I’ve ever had!
All of the above meant that by the time I arrived at Neck of The Woods MRCH were well in to their set. It was fun, it was sweet; I like the way different styles of music seemed to have a subtle influence on their sound. It makes for a softly electro indie sound which is easy to enjoy.
After a small trip up the Left Coast, MRCH are back in the Bay Area at Oakland’s Night Light on Wednesday (24th). Cover is a bargain at $5 and Meernaa is on support duties so it should be a good night!
A few shots from Neck of the Woods below.
